There’s Proton, but given the controversy… yeah (though I did look at what they donate to and it seems to not be right-wing companies).
IVPN is perhaps your best bet.
Tbh my dream would be a Fairphone with hardware meeting GOS’s standards
There’s Jolla !

Very interesting, more folk should support such investigative journalism
why should we promote the fascist’s tiny dick fake news creator?
Do you mean a longtail? Or a bike with a box in front in which kids or cargo sit?

Let’s say no, but I do like to play the Paradox games without too many issues (using virtualisation, steam deck or whatever).
Laptop with Linux def is, they also explicitly label it as such. Novacustom’s laptops seem very similar to Laptop with Linux’s ones.
Doubt it for Tuxedo and Slimbook, though.
Tbf, the main priority on the gaming regard is Paradox games.
Thanks for your explanation, I appreciate it :D - this was the kind of answer I’m looking for; someone who had experience with one of these models.
As for the Macbook touch and feel thing, it’s moreso the general ‘feel’. I don’t mind if keys are a bit different, but I like the sleek feel. The models I gave all kind of satisfy that requirement, so Tuxedo should also work!
Gotta begin somewhere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Haha fair point, I mostly said that because I’ve heard it’s intense regarding system requirements.
Yup, I noticed wifi and bluetooth issues as well when running Linux on my Intel macbook.
RE Framework: I did check it. It looks nice, but it is American and I’m a bit wary of whether they have ties to rabidly right-wing tech bros, considering the Hyprland controversy.

The phones should have a ton more security improvements, though.
for example, do they support locking the bootloader? do they ship firmware updates?
are security updates at least supported for 5 years?
is hardware-accelerated virtualisation supported? are Linux GKI kernels supported?

Honestly, it’d be nice if Fairphone had better security. If that were the case I think there’s not much of a question what to pick.
I would caution against Cloudflare, that’s American stuff
