      Trump wants to invade Greenland and Panama. He wants to extort Canada into having no other choice than to submit to statehood.

      He has no interest in buying either Canada or Greenland. He hasn’t ruled out using force though.

      Who even gets the money when you buy a country? Does it go to the people? If it does then that money is coming right back through taxes.

        Historically, the king / emperor gets it. I’m guessing that most of the time it’s probably used to pay down war debts.
