When I see games like this I wonder if they will be a supported hit or a fly by night indie trend which will have a sharp decline to and forgotten developer support like what happened to Content Warning and Lethal Company.
I’m seeing developer support for PEAK, Schedule I and R.E.P.O so the jury is still out on those
I don’t think that I’d tell people it’s only worth a few hours, but I do expect a large portion of those sales to only last for a few hours.
Some people love the vampire survivors/risk of rain/megabonk game type though, my partner has put around 100 hours into vampire survivors by now. So I expect a core of players to enjoy returning to updates.

Edit: added schedule I
It’s a casual game no one should spend more than a few hours on.
Total? So like enjoy for a few hours and then drop?

They are good games for those that like a challenge. There’s practically no story or content otherwise. I’m a big fan of brotato as well.
I like when they also have mobile ports too. Sort of like having real games on my phone. Slay the spire is a fantastic phone game too.
