      no, there are calls to the browser to store data and config since it works on the browser. it could be adapted i guess depending on how that other software works for calls to the os. i didnt know that kind of thing existed tho. what software are you using? still, i think it wouldnt be a nice solution since it would likely be chromium browser working to display that, not very efficient.

      it could be adapted as a tauri app or self hosted app which could have more features like displaying system info and other stuff. i thought of that but so far havent done it since i want to polish a few more things. plus it wouldnt do much difference to me, maybe with a good backend it’s a little less resource intensive but use wise it’s good for me rn.

        I think the Lively wallpaper manager (for WIndows) allows using an HTML page as a wallpaper. I tried for awhile to make the Momentum new tab chrome addon work with it , but that super did not work.
