I had to customize the desktop environment a bit to work around the permanent VNC buttons, but I like to think it came out pretty nice.

I’m happy so far 👍

Wow that’s pretty cool, good work! Just wondering what is the benefit of running this on a tablet, just to have a portable linux distro or? What are you going to use this device for is the better way to phrase this question I guess. Also, I know what Termux is but not MultiVNC.

That’s basically the exact benefit, a portable Linux distro.

I can use an external keyboard and mouse, but I don’t exactly have to use either if they’re not available. I can control everything on the touchscreen alone, which is often sufficient, but awkward for typing out comments such as this one. Yay Bluetooth!

Yes, Termux almost seems like a joke of a Linux distro at first glance, since by itself it only supports text mode terminal apps. That’s where MultiVNC (or VNC viewer or whatever VNC app) comes into play, that gives it a graphical/video outlet to run X11/Xorg…

I just realized I’ve been running this setup for like 2 months now on my tablet. It’s not exactly a gamer, but I’m not a gamer either, so I’m happy.
