Valve don't seem to be able to catch a break with their hardware releases - as Qualcomm reportedly plan to raise prices a lot.

    Also it’s not as if chips alone went insanely up beacuse the manufacturing equipment did so as well. And if you’re building fabs, you’re not gonna do it in the US or Europe - for a reason. Even Apple gave in to “Designed in California”.
