Context: Latent tuberculosis is when the bacteria hangs out dormant in your body. It doesn’t cause symptoms and isn’t contagious, but it’s not great since there’s always a risk it could wake up when your immune system gets preoccupied with a different infection.

I had previously tested positive a few years ago when I started a different medical industry job. They X-rayed my chest, said it was fine and not to worry.

Just started a new medical industry job that also tests for it, and I’m happy to find out that I no longer have it! :D

Wow I had no idea you could test negative after testing positive. I’ve tested positive my entire life, after being exposed in the 80s.I actually had to go get another chest xray yesterday

For some at-risk people they’ll actually treat it with antibiotics until enough of the dormant bacteria die that you test negative. They didn’t treat me though. So afaict it’s entirely possible it’ll eventually resolve on its own for you also 🤞
