I will agree, the situation is getting better.
But we could have had even better than that 5 years ago if the government hadn’t thrown away a perfectly good upgrade plan to spend more money on copper.

Wi-Fi is bad for me because the alternative is mobile data.
I live in Australia where the broadband speeds are 12.5 to 100Mbps.

20·2 months agoWritten on a window: “Please use door ->”.
The window only goes down to waist height, it doesn’t even look like a door. I really want to know the story behind that sign.
I did that. They were somehow still surprised when I proposed. Apparently measuring their ring finger was not enough of a hint.

81·3 months agoIt doesn’t look like it. They had to make compromises on what to include, otherwise they’d end up with smartwatch that’s larger than a phone.
With it being 100% open source, it should be easy* for someone to add these features.

15·3 months agoMy 94yo friend is still going strong. His advice is to keep moving. Even just going for a short walk does more than you realise.
Look after your eyes, ears, and back, and always wear the recommended protective gear. People who say you look stupid using the correct technique or wearing protective gear will either die first, or regret their decision after it’s too late to do anything about it.
Most of all, learn from other peoples mistakes. You don’t have enough time or luck to make them all yourself.
Not shown is the center bit (majority) where heat and lack of water will kill you.
I still haven’t managed to get in, mostly because I don’t know how to find an instance, or what I should be looking for to choose an instance.
I think I would like an Australia based instance, but I can’t find any way to filter or search for that.
I’ve had one person recommend peertube.wtf to me, but I still don’t know what would make it better than any other instance.
I’m still disappointed that you can’t interact with tags at all on the mobile app.
