Just be careful of people who volunteer at non profits. Most will be good, but since they’re not getting paid, their motivation may be strongly ego driven. That can be problematic.

I agree. I’m on Debian. But on my Android phone I don’t auto update apps. Been bitten too many times.

All well and good, but every now and then we’re abused by updates that remove features, or add something we didn’t want.

0patch does have an advantage there I guess.

Could you have plugged it into a 4k monitor instead?

For me it’s the macros. Simple ones will work in LibreOffice Calc but the more complex ones crash.

I wonder if this will work on Debian 12. I need a version of excel to work (for VBA) and it’s a bit slow in Gnome Boxes.

Are you sure it was IDE? I remember jumpers for master, slave, and Cable Select so you’re probably right.

I think it might have also applied to floppy drives or MFM / ESDI drives but that is going back a while.

To be fair to Windows, it’s just a right click on the special folder (documents, pictures etc) - properties - location. You can place them wherever you like.

Then there was me with A: and B: but no C: in my Sanyo luggable.

I tried adding an MFM drive and controller, but the power supply wasn’t having a bar of that.

I know an OAP who pays two lots of $59 a month for two mobile phones. ‘you get more calls that way’. But it’s a big data plan - even the smallest phone plans have unlimited calls. Heck, one is a flip phone with no data. Can’t convince her she only needs to pay $23 each though.

I didn’t notice any issues with my self hosted Rustdesk setup, but I guess this would freak out new users.
