Powers that be filling the web with misinformation. There’s always been conspiracies and misinformation on the internet, but now there’s major money in pushing it.

I might be confused about something. I’m assuming “owners community” means people that bought smart tvs and kept them offline for privacy reasons. Those types are the sort of people who do think about those things.

Something like that would actually make sense to make a 3d print of. It could be reused that way.

I’ve never owned a smart tv. What did they think was happening before now? What data did they think was filling the storage?

Remotes aren’t complicated enough to hide the microphone. It’s more likely that tvs ditch the remote entirely and be voice controlled only, mute people be damned.
