Yes, it’s a fascinating phenomenon! Similar things happened with “Elligemña Ballejõs”.
No, that’s not true. All current models use output from previous models as part of their training data. You can’t solely rely on it, but that’s not strictly necessary.
That shit was fire! I learned a bunch of art stuff from it, often I’d make something based on what they show and give it to my grandparents. Awesome stuff.
Though this would have been much easier with streaming - back then I had to try and remember all the important details on first watch, which almost never worked!
It missed the final sentence
All “atomic” distros I’ve encountered allow booting into previous versions, so this is simply not an issue.
You are technically correct about “atomic” and “immutable”, but you’re missing that e.g. the Fedora images use the wording “atomic” to refer to their update procedure, and they implement this using an immutable system. Nobody here is misusing these terms, because they are both applicable in this context.
On a dev station, it’s a nightmare.
I’ve been very happy with it on my dev stations, definitely hasn’t been a nightmare!
Nah, I heavily disagree. It’s amazing for developers too, and they are explicitly part of the target demographic - not just of the normal variants, there’s even special developer-targeted images like Aurora.
Yeah, I soured on the studio when, after the Unity license debacle, they announced they’ll stop selling the game. After a bunch of people panic-bought it, they announced “it was just a joke” and that they were never seriously considering it.
I wrote them an email about this being a scummy tactic, and they told me they had a positive effect on the license change. Sure, deliberately creating FOMO to pump up your sales numbers (especially outside of e.g. the summer sale) is a very effective protest!
I mean, you did say “we sound like noise to them”, which implies they can’t pick out their names.
Every cat owner can tell you that they do know their names when spoken. Also, people can train cats without transforming their voices.
I especially like the casual swipe at GNOME, they deserve it!
Don’t ever make the mistake of giving your phone number to a US company. I did that when I started my new job and didn’t have a company phone number yet, since then I’ve been getting daily spam.
No, not Petey the Pencil :( he won’t make a whole two hour exam!! Nooooo!!!
Imagine following the pencil for a whole school year, watching it get smaller and smaller as the arrow of time keeps marching forward evermore
Nothing grinds my gears like password interfaces that modify the password. If empty spaces at the beginning/end are an issue, tell the user. Show a note, or at worst a modal. But don’t modify it.
Eh, things have gotten better, and there are tools that make these tools respect them.
BREAKING NEWS
Fairly often, I have terrible reflexes.
It’s one of those words where whatever you first think of when hearing it, is probably fairly close to the real thing
