2 months agoThere must always be an “in” to get toadies to join your ranks… and an “out” scapegoat to give them a target. Even if they are wildly successful at ridding 100% of the “outs,” there must be a new set of “outs” or you risk the “ins” blaming the leader for any of the problems they face as a result of the leader’s decisions.
Loyalty tests are a way of scaring “ins” to fall in line, lest they become “outs” as a result… but no amount of acts of loyalty keeps you from eventually being one of the “outs.”
Their “in” will always be an inward shrinking group.
