Just thinking about how she would have had to be positioned to look that small under those pillows makes my back hurt.

Funny@sh.itjust.works•Your bee guide for the summerEnglish
18·2 months agoSo do bats. I propose we trade all of the wasps for some quantity of bats.
Can’t tell what size it is, but it looks like maybe 11x14 or larger?. Check prices here (purely for general comparison): https://www.michaels.com/shop/frames
Absolute cheapest they come is $5, and they go up considerably from there.
Art is subjective; it’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, but frames have a non-subjective value and it’s at least $5 in this case.
I mean, honestly, the frame looks nice, that alone is probably worth at least $5. The painting is just getting thrown in for free.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you ever been summoned for Jury Duty in either the US & Canada?English
2·2 months agoThat explains the wait-then-dismiss situation. On the other hand, I wonder if the person on trial actually did it or if they were pressured into a plea deal…
I do not have a lot of faith in our court system.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you ever been summoned for Jury Duty in either the US & Canada?English
14·2 months agoI’ve been summoned as a juror twice in >20 years of eligibility. They have a number you call when the date comes to see if you actually have to appear or not; the first time, I didn’t have to go at all. The second time, I did have to appear; I sat in a waiting room with about 20 other people for an hour, then we were all told we could go home.
Overall, shitty experience.
*notices your soul* OwO what’s this?

16·3 months agoI had to google this, legitimately thought you were referring to a Pokemon or something. Some weird combination of Geodude and Psyduck, maybe.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Temtem Pioneers is a co-op survival sandbox set in the Temtem MMO’s universeEnglish
6·3 months agoI’m glad the creature collector + sandbox game mashup is becoming a genre; I hope we continue to see it evolve in new ways, though, and not just stagnate in the ‘survival crafting’ archetype. An open-world sandbox game with creature collecting elements doesn’t need those survival crafting parts to be compelling, in my opinion.
I have a bucket, but not a cow. Pretty sure someone with a cow but no bucket is closer to being ready to milk a cow than I am.

3·4 months agoNor do I in certain games have time to check in on my stuff regularly.
This is a huge part of it. When I was younger with no responsibilities and could tailor my schedule around a game, I enjoyed this stuff. Now? I don’t want to have to think about whatever game when I’m not actively playing it, and if I don’t play for a few days, I want to be able to return and find things as I left them. That philosophy is antithetical to many modern PvP games’ design philosophies, where they want you to be constantly thinking about it and emotionally invested in it.

16·4 months agoYeah, this mirrors my feelings exactly. Coop is great, though; happy to see that included.

There’s obviously a huge difference there. Video game NPC AI is closer to a complex flowchart than to genAI, at least traditionally - who knows what’s coming in the near future.
I’m not sure if you were being unreasonable by drawing the comparison (or by using the false comparison to intentionally instigate) or if they were being unreasonable by equating the two and banning you, but someone was.
