Yeah
Its basically a wine prefix manager, its pretty gokd
Can you share this footage?
Fedora.
Its not new, its not special with some big changes or special kernels, it has sane settings.
It has releases every 6 months, and updates about as much as arch
If you look at something like fedora images, its something like fedora Linux 7.13.1-201.x64.f44, And this only gets worse once you get to something like the surface kernel
So probably it will shorten the names to something like Fedora Linux, but then you won’t know what you want to select if anything goes wrong
What I mean is that boot managers are like static friction: it’s a theoretical thing that simply does not impact you as long as youre moving, until the moment you stop at which point it becomes real and starts pushing back as strongly as you configured them to be
Just make your grub wait 3 secs before booting, it isn’t worth saving that one press on the enter key
Its nice and all until you forget to delete your 20 kernels + recovery
I like being able to debug stuff.
Windows nowadays does not provide any meaningful logs, so everyone in their forums and such is just guessing around why things won’t work.
DirectSound libraries are missing? Install them via a sub menu of a sub menu of a really small text in the settings, wait 20 minutes for a „loading bar” telling you nothing, and guess what problem it had when it just told you no.
Aside from all the bugs like the menu bar just not opening and preview updates being shown with the same size as regular updates (great because older people will just install those updates too)
Youre fake news
Plasma 6?7 is currently queued for stable release

Thats what gpg already does
But honestly I don’t see how it could be trusted. GPG is based on your social circles verifying your Gpg key to prevent fakes, which this just doesn’t have
Also the thing just does not make sense. The website says this is a workaround for authorities not serving an ID, but they should somehow accept this one??? The only reason someone dosent serve you because of a passport is because they are working by the rules of the authority thats not giving you an ID in the first place
This is very much like one of those gag articles like

The ones with the most servers can just fork the chain when something that they don’t like happens
Generally, zero trust means zero privacy: they can at any point just discriminate anyone
But now its everyone instead of those who have money, so yay I guess?

Crypto is only better because of the hosters.
Watch the Video Line go up by Folding ideas. Crypto is just as much controlled by the people having the means as the banks are

Many say its really bad because they are complying with subpoeanas, but email itself is most often not encrypted anyway
But if youre using your acc for stuff that needs actual opsec, use something else
I personally prefer fastmail tho

Nice
Just like a month after Heroic games (Works on win too) did it already.

I am indeed a gamer. I also prefer My software to not stop me from gaming.
For example, 1/5 of my windows system is in Hungarian. This is a common problem when creating a windows iso. It is not possible to create one without leaving some trage of the last system behind. There is no fix to this.
Here’s a list of the rest:
Or in your words: It can’t game if I install Windows (See point 1). Aren’t you a gamer??? How can’t you game without games?
Or, to not kill the few remaining braincells of the people who still have some: I’d prefer to play 99% of my library without having an aneurism than 5 more games (like, fortnite, Arena Breakout Infinite, Tarkov (Delta force also, but that game is dead)

Amd kicked off Gamersnexus from receiving CPUs and their direct support channel with AMD, so they have to go through the 3rd party now instead of talking with the Manufacturer directly
They say its because they reported on the Silicon manufacturing mafia
I have a multi monitor setup and regularly play helldivers, war thunder, etc on an rtx card on a display with gsync
The games often have stuttering problems and behave generally unexpectedly when in full screen, and mouse capture dosent work, so 50% of the time I had to disable the monitor so it dosent go to the other screen and tab out of the game
Tried on both endeavourOS and mint, so its probably a cinnamon thing
I use it on my backup PC tho and never had a problem with normal applications, its great performance wise
Fedora
Used linux for 4 years now, I’ll list it and the reason why I switched
Ubuntu (snaps, etc)
arch (too much setup)
opensuse (nvidia drivers don’t get checked for size, broke my GUI many times
Gentoo (too much compile time)
bazzite (a bit boring)
fedora atomic (immutable, can’t get mullvad on it), still use on my htpc
mint (cinnamon DE is shit)
endeavour (its still arch)
fedora regular

actions done collectively by SystemD
Nope. It only needs one maintainer to do the PR
It’ll discourage people from becoming open source developers
You know what will discourage Them more? Id verification
relatively inconsequential law
Give me your Id. Seriously, go and give me your ID with nothing blurred.

1968
68er movement + RAF goes hard
Fedora of course
