It is probably because I am a moron and just took a long time to figure it out, but its always harder to set up network shares with my linux desktop than any other machine in my house. At this point I know how to do it pretty well, but its a LOT more involved because none of the GUI tools seem to really work right.

Like I will share a folder from my server (also running linux BTW) and its instantly viewable on my windows laptop and even my streaming devices, but to discover it on my other linux machine is always a chore that involves editing a few config files and just kinda randomly poking around until it works.

They probably used it as an excuse to send millions of public dollars to the police chiefs brother in law or some shit, that’s usually how this works.

They already have a shit ton of filters and stuff to stop you from producing unflattering images of musk or Trump, but making them if children seems like something they don’t really care to stop.

Isn’t this a Nintendo thing from like the 2000s? Why would you even need to use AI when you could just use a recording of one of your testers doing it or (crazy thought) just using a “skip this” button? This seems like a dumb way to shoe-horn AI into something that doesn’t make sense.

Sounds like they aren’t paying you enough if your role includes being a performer.

Anyone that cannot figure out how to install linux probably shouldn’t be fucking with their operating system in the first place.

You can also just buy a live USB distro and install by doing nothing more than turning off your computer and turning it on again, which is even easier than installing a program in windows.

Furthermore, there is a very real argument to be made that you should NOT be able to EASILY nuke an operating system from within itself. Windows devs would be pretty reasonable to define any program able to easily do that as being malware.

Which is a pretty arbitrary naming convention since the number of pins in a socket doesn’t really tell you anything especially when that naming convention does NOT get applied to the processors that plug into them.

As a person that generally buys either mid-tier stuff or the flagship products from a couple years ago, it got pretty fucking ridiculous to have to figure out which socket made sense for any given intel chip. The apparently arbitrary naming convention didn’t help.

Ironic given that bee sexual reproduction is probably the least analogous to humans in the entire animal kingdom and the VAST majority of bees that you encounter outside the nest (and the only bees with stingers" are sterile female worker bees.

It always bothers me that George actually stole her away from his friend, who ends up being insanely rich. So without George it’s most likely that she would have married that dude and wound up a wealthy socialite in Manhattan.

It’s like they wrote the first half of the movie and just kinda forgot her entire story and we’re like “what’s a woman without a husband?” “Oh yeah, a librarian that needs glasses because she reads too much.”

Having a job that pays your bills isn’t “poor” by global standards.

I don’t disagree with the sentiment, but only in America do people view having a job and ONLY enough money to pay all your bills and keep you alive to be a fate equivalent to death.

The fun part is that unlike an intern, this shit isn’t going to get better at it’s job.

The most technically illiterate leaders are pushing the hell out of using for things that don’t make sense while the workers who know what they are doing are finding some limited utility.

Out biggest concern is that people are going to be using it for the wrong stuff and fail to account for the errors and limitations.
