  • Progressive here too. We’re staying on the blue coast.

Take a trip to Italy, as long as you can, and do a ton of research before you commit. That is a very large commitment, and you should have the language down pat, enough savings for a year, and a job lined up, or very strong prospects. If you are missing any of these things, I wouldn’t recommend going.

For me personally, I wouldn’t move unless there was significant danger. The grass is always greener. There will always be benefits and tradeoffs. I couldn’t see my family moving to Italy, even if we were straight. Their slide is not too far off from our own.

  • Personally, I’d relax and just not doomscroll. You two are dating, you’re having fun, you have your whole lives ahead of you. Yeah, your prev BF was a dick, but this new guy ain’t him.

But I also wouldn’t try and control him, or corner him. He’s a different person. If you were in his shoes, and your bf was monitoring your socials and having people block you, I’d feel a bit unnerved.

IDC if my SO hangs out with other people or likes raunchy stuff on socials, because we each agreed on a set of rules, and we both follow them. If we are unsure of something, we sit down and talk to each other about it. Communication is key, and it helps us avoid uncomfortable situations or hurt feelings. :)
