Blathering blatherskite!
That one is the closest to my dad’s hair during this era, actually.
Depends on the parents. Most of us swing out the other way and test out other ways of being. I don’t clean like my parents did when I was growing up, but getting used to it then means it’s now not a big deal when that is required. I’d like to clean more than I do, and one day I will. It’s not a big deal and I’d rather spend the time with my kids. One day they’ll help me clean regularly. I was given 5 chores a day (in addition to regular things you encounter across your day). It’ll depend on the amount of time to complete, but I’ll probably have my kids do 2-3 per day. Just part of preparing them to live on their own, while we get some help with the workload to maintain a home.
The trick for hand saws is sharp blades and patience. Don’t rush it. If you put it where you want it and have patience, most things practically cut themselves (save for something like a tree). If your blade is dull, you’re more likely to make a mistake.
I use that entire drawer for cheeses.
Just wait until 40. It’s like going down a step with your eyes closed without knowing the step is coming. Very jarring and painful.
Depends on the field. In my field people talk. Word would get around that you lied, plus you might get reported to our certification board. If that happened, there would be no interview at the second company because your certification would be gone and not coming back, and everyone checks certification status because it’s so easy.
And it shows! You look like just 1.8 hippos now!
Many of us are ambivalent. We are overwhelmed by the terrible things happening around us. We can stick our heads in the sand, but we can’t help fix things if we don’t know what is happening. I take breaks from Trump/Musk news, but I can’t stay away forever if I want to fight for my family, and maybe my country.
Hide and seek with dire consequences!
The Detectorists, Boston Legal, Almighty Johnsons, and Sex Education are a few of my favorite shows.

31·1 year agoWell, it’s not necessary for everyone. That’s cool. You do you, friend.
It is, but they adopted it. It was originally written by Hy Zaret. They give him credit, of course, but it became theirs to steward.
Of that list, I know TMBG. Always a fav of mine, and I appreciate their attempts to educate and promote science. The sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma!
Is she corpulent? Very corpulent?

11·1 year agoHow do they retroactively remove the knowledge the AI has gained from analyzing all of our personal information?

But it’ll feel like a decade.
