You misunderstand a few key things about the points I made, I think. In particular the bit about not being able to trust the client that it is running the code you think it is.

Not sure how or why MY cpu is supposed to do the work a company should do to provide a decent online experience. Especially when the server, where all the clients are coordinated, is the best place to analyze the data stream for anomalies. Not to mention you just cannot ever trust the client to be running the the code it says it is on the hardware it says it is. The server is where anti-cheat has always belonged. (And tbh just sending the right data to the right clients would win half the fucking battle.)

I run a team red linux gaming rig (5800X3D/6800XT) and I love it. Just an anecdotal data point for you.

I know if I spent a lot of money on a gaming system and games and because of the corporation’s bullshit they weren’t working, I would be thinking maybe other players are mad at being scammed, too - there are lawyers who make a lot of money when a bunch of consumers get swindled.

Yeah, but dropped isn’t dismissed. I can’t tell who is saying they dismissed the charged, a judge or a prosecutor.

I did some reading and because he was never indicted for them for the trial, I don’t believe they’ve been dismissed, at least based on my quick research.

I wonder what the statute of limitations is, and what this pardon is for and if a prosecutor still thinks those are indictments worth pursuing.
