Oh, there are sooo many options now, I’m sure many gaming handhelds are 100% up to date Pixel-level. I was just saying as per existing inventory in the world, if you just pick up something random… it gonna have KitKat potentially…

Yeah, I mean, there are other ways, like STube on Android, which I think is a one man band but is always faster, but it’s not even so much about even just watching, Freetube is a great overall management experience for keeping track sans Google like nothing else with history and export et al across all platforms basically. I’m constantly impressed by them.
I think OP is referencing new “retro” handhelds that run Android (although I bet a lot run KitKat or something insane, so no modern encryption/https)
Yes! The Freetube team are real heroes, and really keep up with the cat and mouse of it all at S-tier on all fronts, including even getting updates into flathub promptly, which not every project is good about.
Pika Backup does backups. For testing Windows, you’ll want to run a VM, QEMU is best for that (There’s a KDE wrapper I forget the name of for it with a better GUI) but you can probably do some level of testing running your app with Wine. You can run Excel with Wine (also the Office365 web Excel runs in browser)
If you’re concerned about your ISP seeing tor traffic, I’d suggest using tor over a trusted VPN
Wow, you’re deep!
As a worker with real skills, I stand by my judgement of you leeches.
In 2020, because they actually wanted to defeat Trumpism. But they do not, the DNC is run by PR consultants who enjoy both making a payday during the election, win or lose, AND then enjoy the GOP tax cuts for their ill-gotten gains, literally incentivizing them to lose. And he’s not running in 2028. Assuming there is an election at all, the DNC will run Gavin Newsom on their usual losing platform of “What the GOP said, but 5% more woke.”
$190/month tax deducted is NOTHING for a firm making $30k/role filled at the bottom end. You don’t really care about those kinds of low-level tax deductible expenses while you’re profitable. This is why no businesses switch to LibreOffice on cost grounds, even though it’s fine and saves hundreds per year per seat on a contract for Office.
It will never be a thing. The capitalists would never allow it. Also HR professionals are like, the lowest level of teeeechnically undergrad-level educated communications majors. They’re not going to fuck with some activitypub shit. These people are barely smart enough to not drown in the rain.
Based on Luigi it seems more an effort at propaganda than profit. It wasn’t loss of interest that ended the infinite sea of Luigi pieces, it was the fact that the public was on his side and was unmoved by their attempt to Emmanual Goldstein him, so they put the story down the memory hole as that was the best they could do to serve their overlords.
Hippie vibes
Email is like IRC, outdated and inherently insecure, and awesome and I still use it knowing that. It’s insane that everything started using email for real government and business shit to begin with. You can’t ‘secure’ it as it is, even with this endpipe cosigning crap. I say just avoid email for sensitive comms altogether, treat it like the public mailbox it is, like IRC
[edit: or this!]
True, sacrifices on the altar of the God Sysadmin, and their divine mount Er’orreport
I started nearly 30 years ago and cannot count the dead systems I have left in my wake. Just on the 2000-ish thing where Dell first offered Linux but it was inherently unstable after booting the pre-written disk image if you touched it, alone… So many kernel sanity failures…
Probably Linux Mint. If you have a hardware support issue on Mint, Fedora.
In 2020, the DNC struck a devil’s bargain to ally themselves with the corporate media and social media platforms over their own activist base. This led to the media doing massive coverage of what was, other than the women’s march, not particularly impressive “resistance.” Now that the corporate media and social media have realized that the DNC is so dysfunctional and unable to do any institutional accountability for poor performance, it is unlikely we will see them in power for decades (ala the GOP for most of the 20th century) they switched sides and allied themselves with the GOP, so their incentive is to just not cover protest at all to suppress dissent and please their new allies on the MAGA right.
