As long as it isn’t “carrier locked”, you should be good to go. The thing about Pixels, is that they allow you to unlock the bootloader (and critically, for Graphene, relock it).

I really do think that liberals should take a hard look at themselves. They don’t flinch to call Russian soldiers orcs, and ascribe to their foreign policy a mindless bloodthirst. Do they think of US soldiers the same way? Or US foreign policy (even under someone like darling Obama)? Seriously: who is more “evil” Putin or Obama? By what measure?

I think it’s a bit boring. It’s fantastic for servers, and as a base for other distros. I did recently try it after using Mint for years (LMDE recently). I even used it with the Cinnamon DE I’m used to, and I just found it lacked some polish or something. Little niceties here and there. That’s it really. Minor drawbacks, and no advantage to me over LMDE, so that’s what I’m back to.

Yes maybe, but. Is that any more or less convenient than a pin/passcode? Also, the most cursory surveillance prior to arrest will note the strange way you unlock your phone.

I also love Mint, though I now run the Debian-based one (LMDE).

Any FOSS apps on Android that support it? Even Google Voice (which I use for work) doesn’t seem to support it. I still get messages like “so and so reacted to your message”.

Traditionally they’ve been email lists. Easy to set up and everyone has an email address.

A common factor in most social engineering attacks like this or phishing emails, is a sense of urgency. What I tell people is that any sense of urgency should automatically make you suspicious. If someone is trying to get you to act immediately, they are attempting to short circuit your common sense. Nothing is so urgent that it can’t wait 5-10 minutes for you to verify the facts.

I always vote, but I also don’t think it really matters. I’ve stopped giving people shit for not voting, because I can’t blame them. Our elections will never result in the kind of changes we need.
