Looking at the unicode characters inside, it seems you need CJK font support. You can get noto-fonts-cjk to fix it.

I actually read manga on my old Nexus 7 since my phone’s screen is not big enough. I tried some cbz mangas on the Kindle before but because of not every page is single, it was painfully slow to zoom and navigate. I would love the read them on Kindle if I can find mangas that don’t need to be zoomed though.
Yeah, jailbreak and KOreader actually makes the device usable. I have one of the older ones so the screen is way too small for manga anyway, but at least i can use whatever the font I want and I can even change the default screensavers which is a nice addition.
Maybe for phones but I don’t think it would for tablets and TVs.
Well, that’s true but it’s the dummiest you can get with Google nowadays. Creating a new account through Gmail also requires to add a phone number. You can only come around that via an old device. You cannot come around device identification however.
Reddit’s privately owned so no. :)
If something is on the internet and not encrypted, it’s public not private. Though you can at least be anonymous.
Even if no trackers (which there are) Lemmy is federated so you cannot just delete your stuff and sleep over it. However if you need to be careful, you can solely use Lemmy over Tor. It’s not private but can be anonymous.
I think I recently read that Lemmy devs are working on private upvotes / downvotes (yes even they can be tracked) but it seems it’s tricky with federation.
So, generally Fediverse is not private and cannot be private due to its nature. If you have a threat model, you should use it with Tor.

I have a similar setup with LineageOS. I use KeePassXC on PC (KeePassDX on Android). I can sync them via Nextcloud with peace in mind because the database is already encrypted. Syncthing-fork also works if you want completely local.
I’m sure e/OS already has a password vault app in their list but if not KeePassXC is fully local out of the box and can be used with DX on Android.
It’s far secure than Firefox’s built-in password manager.

You can use local ones like KeePassXC.

Don’t wait until they’ll need to verify to delete your account.

Not sure if they want people to see antisemitism as a virtue some day but they clearly work for it very hard.
It’s my favourite music player on Android as well. There aren’t many folder players and I think this is the best one. Glad there is a new update now.

Are they Linux ISOs or “Linux ISOs”?

Yeah, no idea why it was marked as obsolete but at least I didn’t have to meddle with configs for that. Maybe because of upgrading 2 versions in a row.

That’s good news! Mine had some quirks like I had to uninstall and reinstall Jellyfin and some couple things for some reason too.
But yeah, I would like some more automated upgrade as well. Though Debian itself is a manual installation so current situation makes sense.

Actually I was searching about that Youtube one that I saw long ago but couldn’t find again. Thank you for these. Especially for awesome-mpv.

I haven’t seen something like this but I’ve seen someone replicated Youtube UI, including thumbnail previews on seekbar. I’ve also seen some quite simple and clear UIs as well. mpv has so many capabilities, I probably don’t know about 95% of them.
Hello fellow X201 user. I too used EndeavourOS on my X201 for a long time, though currently I’m using Void on it (which I like a lot more). While KDE runs on it fine I mostly preferred river+waybar+fuzzel setup. Intel iGPU on this device really sucks by the way. :)
