I too have been in the industry for many a decade and I heartily concur. I do have many colleagues though that also have been in for many years, and those are still dedicated believers. Maybe their critical thinking has been eaten away by all the lead in soldering tin?

Uh the Supreme Court approved Biden’s ban that was initiated by Trump. Which is a nice way to make Biden less popular and come out as the saviour, plus TikTok will now lick Donnie’s boots. Someone was very smart, although I don’t think it was Trump himself.

Difficult question to answer.

• things happen on Twitter / Threads / Gab/ etc that are important/worth hearing about , or at least interesting, but
• I do not wish to send any traffic to these sites
• and definitely do not wish them making any money from my traffic

In the end I think we should not forbid or block, but be much more careful what we share from those sites. I also think it’s important - very important - to make any competing social media much more interesting to people wanting to be involved and kept up to date. How, I don’t know either but we shouldn’t be too strict on eg Bluesky, rather cooperate or something.

Andy will one day find out that, in the eye of the magat beholder, he is nothing but yellow. I hope he enjoys getting spent as the token he has become.
