  • I do like how Canadians differentiate by saying first nations now though it makes things so much simpler. Do recall native vs Indian days for sure, older myself. ~~~~

My dad was native but I never got the card, band was disolved or something and my dad kept trying but no luck. In the end I’d rather all people have the best rights, we should all have the same rights and then being the best (dental medical education etc). We all live here and want this country to prosper. But evidently the government says that’s not cool. Mean I’d still take our government over the fucking tangerine down south. Fuck that shit but it’s be awesome if we offered everyone advanced schooling and good social net regardless, it only helps build our country.

To be fair I’m not saying anyone should have less we just need to all get the best from our government. I do understand that first nations have been given the shaft but I’d hope the best for everyone gives everyone a boost. Or at least those that need it, cause we’re a decently well off country.

  • From what I recall the powers were written as an RPG type game, it wouldn’t take a lot to make an RPG or video game out of it (yes I know it is a tabletop RPG as well now).

I think I only got 3ish books in (maybe 4 can’t recall) but having to hear the exact amounts of material for their powers really struck the idea home is all. I believe I read he played DnD and if true it shows.

The movement may make it more fun than the rest of the ideas combined really (just look at spider man, the agility alone makes that a fun combat system), that’s probably where’s it’ll succeed or die off I imagine. It may be good without a good movement mechanic there but it’d be awesome with it done right.

Been awhile but not all powers were movement based either, while it can make or break a game it may break the setting if not done well either, which would suck for fans but if it’s fun to play then it’s fun to play.

At my age I’ve played enough adaptations that weren’t overly true to the material but still has a fun game underneath can’t recall exactly but I know I’ve had that thought previously.

  • Had to check in Simpsons it’s called Funzo S11E9, it’s not as Christmasy as other ones are for sure. I bet you and your friend still tried to play the game that’d have been an adventure for then. I tried to play a Gundam MMO once but it was only in Japanese, so was awkward and didn’t last long but hard to resist a try.

  • Simpson did the burning of them for one holiday episode. Though may have been later than the furby was around but I barely notice season numbers anymore except to notice if after say 12 when the ones my old self sees as better. Also we have all the holiday ones (well many animated series, separate one for live action sitcoms) in a bag to pull out during Xmas season to watch a themed one, so just pull find it and hit play, no thinking during these holidays… similar for Halloween month.

Wasn’t a line,Daddy has a credit card? Or similar, not sure I quite caught how our of character that was for anyone remotely typical for Japanese culture.

One of my favourite movies of all time, it’s so beautiful from visuals to the story of a kid learning to accept change.

I showed it to my gf she laughed, no insecurities when you know though heh. Cause LeBron doesn’t need to perform in the bedroom he does his work on the court, others have to do it in other less spacious rooms without millions watching thank fucking God. No viewers opinions when you’re there. Like a damn a parole hearing each time, they want to critic each bit. But have fun and make sure it ain’t too bad ;)

  • Yes and maybe not then. Look at Newton’s law, even it deals with psychology if not physical action and realize that we (under some theories) have free will to make the actions that will cause those. So something will happen to make you (or someone else) do an action and even if you (or they) don’t like it it happened. You can look at it from 1000 angles but either way someone with that personality would make it happen that way.

So gotta just accept, it is what it is, try and make it better and I hope it works out. Mean unless you can see the future and change things, we all are who we are, may. It be worth knowing or hanging out with but somebody probably made something you don’t want to happen, happen. C’est la vie.

  • I do not, no proof. If there was a god such as in the Bible why give us reasoning abilities when they give no proof? And if so, then I put forward the idea that if there is such a god, they don’t care if we believe so why bother?. Not to go all gamer but like the Sims, they made us and took out the pool ladder and saw what happened.

If there is a god that has such powers and cares, well fuck them cause they ain’t helping us it seems. If they are well we’re too far off course for it to matter, this playthrough is spiraling and it doesn’t matter if we believe or not cause we may be circling the drain.

So seems easier not to believe because if you do it’s more depressing.

  • Hah I always confused the name with that one with the episode Disaster (had to look it up Picard and kids winning something), no wonder I rarely watched it. Cause I’m pretty sure they go up ladders in turbolifts in that one so just thought that was that episode. But I recall liking the backwards people starting fires. To be fair I don’t watch much TNG these days but still my favorite series by far (also haven’t watch a series since Enterprise so may need to catch up).

  • Damnit I just got a 9800x3d, guess I’ll be good knowing I can upgrade to whatever gpu comes out that’s in the sweet spot for awhile. I do have a 3070 so not like I’m slumming it, but was really hoping that the 50xx series would be worth it. Guess it’s time to read up on ray tracing and dlss type features since I haven’t done that homework in many years now. Always seemed like Nvidia was better supported but maybe not the big difference it it appears to be. I have gone back and forth over the years anyways.

  • There’s also at least one article (well the only one I found was more recent in 2016 could have sworn I knew one from the 2000s, no amount of water in the one I read) out there of someone dying from drinking too much water while high. I want to say it was like 1-2 gallons in a fairly short amount of time, a few hours or something.

That said I’ve been high a ton and never got close to that amount of water so stay hydrated just don’t down like a gallon in a couple hours, even extremely dehydrated I’m fairly certain our bodies aren’t meant to process that amount of water, though too lazy to check amounts.
