ahhh i see. i gave up on that a long time ago, not long after a (requested) visit to a 3 letter agency, inside of one of them mirrored rooms in a windowless office building.

i just stay off most social media and use unique emails for literally everything that requires one. otherwise, im not important enough to put all that much effort into it and im definitely getting too old to.

the fediverse is kinda the opposite of private. everything is somewhat designed to be incredibly public. activities (posts/comments/votes/moderation) is literally broadcasted across subscribed servers. its very very public to those entities. trying to then expect some kind of personal privacy behind that is absolutely doable for the user, but the contents gunna live somewhere, usually pretty public.

if you want private posting, youd want something non-federating… ie… not the fediverse.

i remember when i was ~4 we lived in a very small 1 bedroom house… it had all of 3 distinct rooms. i remember my mother screaming for my brother and me to get our of the bath tub, and we did running into the other room. i remember watching the flames spread across the kitchen ceiling as my mother attempted water or something from the sink… and then watching from a firetruck as the whole thing burned to almost nothing.

i went back a few decades later, it was still vacant lot.

you should always voice your pain points to your manager. its your manager you gives you the authority to enforce your boundaries, and then you will have to continue to broadcast them (your boundaries) in those environments. having worked with medical staff, i understand they are challenging personalities. doctors are sometimes the worst people.
