Thanks, hopefully this one stays functional for longer than the others!

yeah, this one is less known and most useful

you’re 7 hours late :-) https://lemmy.ml/post/39895219/22599990

Didn’t know about the plain HTTP option! I’m using Sharik for this
From my understanding, this bridge does use some the official WhatsApp web client’s API. You only need to connect the official app once in a while (a few seconds every two weeks) and can do so on a separate device.
hi, federation with monero.town is broken on lemmy.ml since a while now (no idea what’s going on). It’s still alive and well.
Note that Signal is not a company, it’s an NGO. Would you say that Wikipedia is at risk of disappearing because it’s centralized?
Nobody would host a worldwide instant messaging (including a lot of data such as video) on its own servers. That would be incredibly costly and inefficient. Designing for E2E (nothing critical happening on the server) is the way to go.

I guess just don’t by one of these “certified Android devices”. Might become a selling point. Other option would be to run SailfishOS (buy a Jolla phone) or install Ubuntu Touch / Mobian and use Anbox.
Right, successor of Paylib too. From a user standpoint, it’s the same than Paypal except that it uses phone numbers for identifiers. It’s supported by a lot of banks already (no need for additional app / account).
haha sorry I got lost digging

I suppose it also still has noscript enabled by default (preventing the execution of javascript).

You have my unconditional respect I donated a couple of times already. I wish you the best, keep on going!

I agree there is nothing like DEX features coming anytime soon on XMR. But it doesn’t have RBF either, what makes you think that it is enough to consider mempool transactions as final? (especially the ones with large amount)

Interesting. Althout I’m still unimpressed: 2023 was all-in NFT; variable block size was introduced 10 years ago on XMR… At the end of the day, whatever the throughput limit, BTC still processes 15x more transactions. And BCH still doesn’t have instant confirmation. What was the point of this compared to just using Litecoin?

how does 0xname prevent domain squatting?
I use Audire (does not require an audd.io API token). It’s open source but only available in the IzzyOnDroid repository.
