Not a professional thing, but I played lacrosse in high school, and I now have a habit of kicking anything forward that I drop, since we would practice kicking the ball forward to scoop it up.

My bad, I was using gear and cog interchangeably. Didn’t realize it could also mean just a tooth.

Huh? The single cog is the standard for settings menus. Just looking at three random apps on my phone, they all had single cog icons.

You’re right, the culture does move too fast, and it’s too broad and segregated. The plus side is that you can find content for almost any niche interest, but that obviously comes at a cost.
