I found .UK and .US domains cheap, but .UK was more private as far as whois goes.

Seriously though, one of the major smartwatch manufacturers made a smartwatch in retro style like this but it didn’t sell.
I can concur. I completely believe that the process could have got worse as they enshittified though.
Wag?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is the "Quebecois" of your language?English
1·8 days agoOP asked about “your language” in the title, and in the body asks about English, which is my language. So to me she’s asking about English, but to you she’s asking about whatever else you speak.
Maybe you are missing the context that there was another popular post on the threadiverse recently about an American dialect of norgweigian in the American Midwest.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is the "Quebecois" of your language?English
2·9 days agoI understand the question.
French people think that the Canadian French dialect spoken in Quebec sounds different, because it does, but you can still understand. They’re still mutually intelligible just with some different words and accents.
OP is asking what the English variations there are throughout the world.
I am curious if Jamaican Patois would count as a different language entirely, just with some recognizable English words.
Wa go on? –> hello. (Etymology: What’s going on?)

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Marathon released on Steam [Very Positive review] [kernel anticheat] [SteamDeck unsupported]English
1·9 days agoThe story has always been my favorite part of the original Marathon. That, and the environment, ambiance, and orientation/wayfinding parts of it And as I’ve gotten older, I’ve liked the guns part less and less. I would love it someday if somebody could make a different type of game in the marathon story universe.
Like an urban explorer game where you are looking for a switch to open a door, but you might run into an alien S’pht compiler around the corner.
Maybe you could use a Chromebook and log in from a busy location with many other users?

7·21 days agoDoesn’t sound like a thief to me. They never stick around. Sounds more like someone being careless with their jacket.

Lol for me personally this mental image would be counterproductive because if someone really did have a nail in their head, I’m calling 911 first and listening to them 2nd while 911 is on the way. We are literally trained to do this for any emergency. (The patient can always decline EMS but we don’t want them to arrive too late.)
But I agree for non-emergencies its good to let people speak uninterrupted and not push solutions, while recognizing your own boundaries and frustrations (if the other person is not trying an obvious solution).
Thank you <3
Can you help me understand what the video means?
It seems like the guy is right that the nail is causing her the problems, but the woman is right that the guy keeps interrupting her?
I don’t always pick up on social things like this.

Ah like that character in Ted Lasso
