The best news from this is that the EU is willing to go these ways. Incredible for consumers in the long run and to combat monopolies.
Yes, they could sponsor something else, but what we also really want are choices and competition.

Isnt this possible with Grayjay, or do you still need an account?

He put the ones who didnt vote ‘in favour’, that’s why it didnt pass.
But you can see who’s directly opposing.
True, but most of the Europeans dont have those governments.
EU has the best privacy laws, only behind Switzerland.
They will not be close to the greatest threat, but it will still be a step back.
Also, these are proposals that has not been voted in ever before. So be sure to vote for politicians that wont, so we can keep it that way.
Never probably, these are law proposals.
They have never been voted in, as the majority of EU doesnt want them.
So makes sure to vote in politicans that wont, so we can keep it that way.
It is illegal if you send a delete request.
The question is here, if ‘delete account’ is the same as asking Meta to delete all data in the regard of GDPR. My guess is, its not.
There’s also no way they will retrain their AI without your data, just because you told them to.
That might be possible, but Im not 100℅.
If they already have your fingerprint in the browser or device, they might not care. Idk.
Thats why their ToS is different in the EU.
Maybe I don’t know enough of this, but would it be possible to install Kodi and use that and it’s plugins for satellite? Plex also had this, and maybe Jellyfin is a good option?
In that way, you can show your satellite channels but in their interface.
Maybe that can do the trick?
They don’t have the manpower to go after everyone, but you never need to.
You make an example out of 1.000 people nation wide, and most people wouldn’t dare to not pay.
I was confusing the actual war with a later protest against China because of Tibet, happening maybe 10 years ago.
My mistake.
EDIT: Okay I know what happened now. Just found out that Google is displaying different boarders around the world to different regions. I’m pretty sure Tibet was on the map not many years ago, and now it’s not. But apparently, it’s only been like that in the western world.
What do you call Tibet then. I know they couldn’t fight back that much, but it’s a literal invasion.

Also, we can’t really know and judge China as the world leader, as they’re not yet.
As soon as you are on top, your behaviour might change. Both for the better, but most likely for the worse. (see US)
Also, we have to remember that China still needs all western partners to keep up their production. They are still a manufacturing country.
The US is losing power for sure, but not slower than it’s allies. Europe can’t just plug and play the US immediately, but they have considerably less problems than Americans.
And just to be clear: I’m not advocating for a US boycott. Just less cooperation than today.
Agreed. At least send the link shared to Twitter then, if there’s any. A screenshot is better than nothing.
You can say the same about the whole entertainment industry then. You just prefer other things than short form, visual content.
Our right is to not purchase the products that require us to give access to our data.
You can’t hear how that sounds? Congratulations, you are allowed to NOT buy something.
You’re not even told when they steal your data, because there’s not even a rule for that either.
How can you hate on smart homes, when it’s a concept in itself with 100 different use cases.
My home cuts of the power for my standby devices when I leave it and nobody’s there. It makes sure everything is locked at night. It literally saves me 100’s on heating.
My light dims and uses less power when the sun is down. Good for the eyes and the bill.
It can run my washing machine when power is cheapest.
So now, if it does all that, making sure less ressources are spent, both money and CO2, and privacy is good, then why on earth you even hate it, let alone have an opinion about it. Why you care?
