I know you are looking into editing the files, but you can probably also do this with live filters with something like easyeffects.

If the mod code itself is open, i dont see why not. There are lots of open source projects that are used in conjunction with closed source stuff, like custom wrappers or security research tools.
That works too of course :) Welcome to the world of linux!
To enable flatpak in Discover go to its settings page and at the bottom click “install flatpak backend” or something like that. Then when thats done you need to enable “flathub” on the same page as the package source for flatpak. You might have to restart in between or after these steps if it doesnt show up.
Only “flatpak” though, not “snap” because that sucks.

I believe it got better, but my standard is just high i guess.

You are right, in that sense its a good showcase.

Yeah but CP2077 is a stupid game to emulate as a reference. If that mess of a game can run at 30fps, then like 80% of the steam catalogue can run at 60+

You could always run another virtual linux in your linux to make it safer.
Maybe leather? Could be literally anything but with paint on it…
But its definitely a model of a womans upper body.

Yes but if it doesnt federate then that makes it more likely to become practically centralized. Interchanging information between independent organizations through a common channel is whats necessary here. Imagine if email only worked between people in the same company. Ridiculous concept.
Interoperability would be even better, but if even people using the exact same software just on a different server cant exchange information then thats just not a feasible solution for big organizations or governments these days.
SchildiChat Next is a close fork of element x with some great added features, like custom color and layout options.
It has a “pseudo space” feature which allows grouping by a set of predefined filters and the filter “chats not added to spaces” would give you this. This pseudo space will then show up under the name “space orphans” :D
This settings page can be found under Settings > Turtle Tweaks > Spaces > Pseudo spaces

Glad to help. Always good to have an open source option :)

The image shows the Spectrum mode of this app https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.billthefarmer.scope/
Im hissing in this picture (peak around 7kHz) and there is a loud AC unit going which is all the low frequency humming on the left. It just uses your built in mic so thats going to be the biggest limitation in terms of precision, but it works very well even with that as you can see.

The spaces feature is neat, but I’ve tried 4-5 clients, and every single one of those throws all of them into the same screen as the DMs by default, and I can’t find a way to change that.
“show all rooms” is how you turn that off in element

Nheko also supports spaces and has a filter to only show DMs, it also allows tagging rooms to do custom grouping of chats. But at the moment only element properly embeds calls with the new element-call system.

They are going downhill recently. Everyone around me is trying to get rid of it.

Zulip fulfills a completely different purpose than matrix. Its also not e2ee or federated so its kind of not an option at all for government use. Local governments need to be able to run independent infrastructure that can talk to each other. Centralized infrastructure is not an option anymore these days, its a national security risk.

Been using it for a while and it works quite well for what it is. It also overlays the translated text on the original image which is nice. The translation engine is the exact same one as the one in firefox and its forks, so dont expect deepl levels but its still perfectly fine for most casual use cases.
The post that you are commenting under.
The post mentions revenue stream, so its about people going with slop software instead of normal one. In other words replacement.
They also had to correct their results last month for some reason. I think they are just having issues with their surveys rn. Also there were multiple 30+ minute steam network outages in Europe in the past few days. Europe is definitely the majority of linux steam users so that might be related.
