His books are all pretty good. “Down and out in Paris and London” (or is it London and Paris? It’s been a minute) is one of my favourites.

Blair was a communist, from what I remember, but started to see what socialism was really like and gradually reverted his attitude. Animal Farm is along the same line but an easy read for kids.
