Summary

Organizers of the 2017 Women’s March are planning the “People’s March” on January 18, 2025, ahead of Donald Trump’s second inauguration.

Unlike the record-breaking 2017 protest with 500,000 people, this multi-issue demonstration, addressing abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, climate change, and more, expects a smaller turnout of 50,000.

Organizers acknowledge shifting political dynamics and aim to build a sustainable movement by connecting participants with advocacy organizations.

Don’t worry, I was told that a second Trump administration would rejuvenate the enthusiasm of the American left-wing to oppose government tyranny

Yeah, the accelerationist argument. Some Germans used that in the 1930s too. How did that work out?

The same people peddling that argument, sadly, will assert, unironically, “Thalmann did nothing wrong”.

There’s no getting through to them. They’re as blinkered and evidence-averse as the conservatives they claim to oppose.

awkward that we just finished a genocide under dem leadership though isnt it. I’m no right winger or trump supporter, but its undeniable that the genocide (maybe) stops when Biden leaves office. So spit on the accelerationist argument all you want, but you cant deny that things are badly broken when its the dem leadership and their toadies following hitlers footsteps and not the repubs (yet).

Lol, are you high? Republicans are the ones replicating blood lible but directed against immigrants. They are really he ones calling for and end to transgender ideology (Magnus Hearschfeld institute, look it up) like yeah Dems are little bitches for two stepping when Israel demands, but to say they are following Hitler is stupid when the Repubs are doing it step for step, and the Dems at least sometimes say no.

You’re comparing an existential threat that you care about to one that has a massive tally of dead bodies. And the dems funding the genocide and running cover for it – you claim thats simply, " two stepping when Israel demands".

And then you call me stupid.

And then you pretend “the Dems at least sometimes say no”. Who cares what they “sometime say”. Its not about saying things its about actions. The only pushback Biden ever gave the Israelis was pausing one shipment for a short time-- which is nothing. A purely performative nothing.

You sir or madame are just a victim of propoganda and your own self centeredness and immorality. Theres dead bodies there killed with your support and you try to sweep it under the rug with a turn of phrase. Thats pathetic and monstrous.

We only got a second trump term because the center wing of the party was so disinterested in opposing it.
