Sleeper trains are seriously underrated for thier efficiency - you basically trade unconscious hours for distance traveled while saving on a hotel night, and I’ve always found the gentle rocking motion makes for better sleep than most hotels anyways!

Slight disaster, advice appreciated1·2 days agoTry wiping it down with a lint-free cloth soaked in mineral spirits to remove excess oil, then let it dry in direct sunlight for a few hours (UV accelarates the curing process) - this should help with both the tackiness and the iron oxide residue issue.

When dehydrating soups, try spreading them thin on parchment/silicone sheets (about 1/4 inch) instead of waiting for puree consistency - it’ll dry wayyy faster and you can just break it into pieces and grind it up after!
It’s more nuanced than that. Current battery energy density (250-300 Wh/kg) is ~15x less than jet fuel (~12,000 Wh/kg), making transcontinental flights impossible today. But shorter regional flights (200-400km) are becoming viable with existing tech, and several companies are already testing these. You can check out GearScouts.com to see how battery tech is advancing - the same LFP improvements are being applied to aviation.
