It must be really nice to live in a world where your own idiotic opinions don’t lead to any meaningful consequences for yourself.

That is an interesting thought experiment in general but I don’t think it really squares with Christian theology and the central role humanity has in it.

Yep years ago I was in a bible study, well on my way to being an agnostic already. They were going over a difficult passage and the conclusion was ‘god works in mysterious ways’. Not that I hadn’t heard that nonsense before but for some reason hearing it in that scenario was the last straw and I never went back.

I don’t think we know enough about the universe yet to be sure that cause/effect is 100% the be all end all. It sure seems like it is from where we’re standing now though, that’s for sure.

I mean, Italian food really is brilliant, they really just over time took all the best things they found and just made great food with it and left out everything else.

It’s sort of crazy to think about how delicious a recipe with four ingredients can be until you realize they’re four of the most delicious things on the planet.

That should be the question to anyone in power - were you not going to say something?

They leave it because they know it’s better for them to have it up. They remove it and lose power and Dems actually get stuff done and maybe people actually notice which lawmakers care about them.

Of course, as soon as the GOP is arrogant enough to believe they won’t lose power they’ll take it down first thing. Which is more likely today than it ever has been in my life.

The fact that they’re not interested in selling it should tell you all you need to know about what China wants to do with it

Just to add, this proves:

1. that Americans in general aren’t following along on their own
2. that Biden could have influenced the discourse and been a force for good IF HE HAD BEEN COMMUNICATING LIKE THIS ALL ALONG. Unfortuntately they decided to ‘show not tell’ and let Trumpism fill the communication void with their lying bullshit for four years. Joe’s biggest failure and one we shouldn’t forgive him for.

Oh damn, just comparing it to ‘oligarchy’ and it’s much bigger.
