Well, I went through a recruitment process for a Ponzi scheme company. It was wild, but the first filter was an interview by some “hot” woman (sorry, I was like 21) so, I guess I was nervous and passed to the next part of the recruitment process. This third part (the first was only a couple of documents) was frankly nauseous for my kind of education, in this phase, a proper brainwash about how unions, worker rights and health insurance are just obstacles between us and real success in life and some other nonsense, happened to a group of applicants clearly infiltrated. At that exact moment I wanted to go home, but somehow I was feeling unsafe surrounded by the staff (people, I guess, already in the Ponzi scheme). They wanted us to come back the next day to sell perfumes for free or to buy them perfumes to sell by ourselves or something. Of course, I didn’t come back, but it was traumatizing.

Oh, actually, /u/bobbyfiend, already mentioned the same kind of “business”, except this is Mexico. It’s not rare to find these “ideas” being deployed in several countries, like Scientology.

My first was a rare CPU, but not that old. It was my first PC and was fanless, which I used to think was normal until years later. It was a VIA Cyrix III, maybe 32 MB RAM. Another interesting thing about this CPU was its overclock capabilities. I don’t know how it did survive my overclocking, since I genuinely didn’t have a clue, except that if I raised the numbers, KDE could run, but if I didn’t, well, Xfce was also cool.

I do care for plants and the planet, but seeing the world become vegan is an army of unicorns, and not even an option, in my opinion. I know what an ape is, I know not all apes behave like you described and I know what a cannibal is.

Typical vegan mindset, categorical for everything. Since taxa is the same for you no matter the level, hey, why do you eat your brothers fungi, herbs and tree babies? Are you some kind of a cannibal?

It’s, again, that categorical mindset of veganism, as they divide the world into them and the others. While they all do occur, that doesn’t mean it always occurs everywhere. And yes, eating meat sometimes involves suffering, but that’s not the same as torture.

I assume you know what “frequently” means. Otherwise, do these lifestyles classify people in categorical terms as vegan/meateaters or morally right and wrong?

I could see an argument against industry standards on meat production, but the base argument of veganism is flawed when all these things you list do not occur. And yes, veganism is frequently a cult in my experience. They tend to surround of themselves, assure themselves to each other and avoid discussion of their mindset. AAMOF I was turned off to discuss here, but as I randomly got to know I’m being downvoted, I will engage.

Same here. Aamof I just try watching it last year. Visually, it was cool to come back to those years, but I don’t think I finished season 1.

Did you read the season 3 in comic books? I was surprised about the following they’ve got as I was reading that Wikipedia entry.
