WASHINGTON, Jan 20 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday revoked a 2023 executive order signed by Joe Biden that sought to reduce the risks that artificial intelligence poses to consumers, workers and national security.
Biden’s order required developers of AI systems that pose risks to U.S. national security, the economy, public health or safety to share the results of safety tests with the U.S. government, in line with the Defense Production Act, before they were released to the public.
Democrats do the minimum. Republicans make sure we don’t even do that.
Democrats don’t even do the minimum. If they did, things like a woman’s right to choose what happens to her body would be enshrined in law. Despite having the majority in both sides of congress and the presidency twice, they didn’t do shit. They didn’t do anything to help Gaza, they didn’t do shit other than make promises to tackle the climate crisis, and they sure as hell didn’t do anything to protect workers from exploitation.
You cant tell these people that. They can’t wrap their heads around their side not fulfilling every promise that never materialized.
Fuck it, I welcome a renegade AI enslaving humanity at this point.
Especially because that AI was probably trained on smutty fanfiction.
AI will either free us, wipe us out, or enslave us. That said, true AI would realize we are more productive when we are happy.
I say bring it the fuck on.
AI doesn’t realize anything. And if it’s trained on human artifacts, it echoes human biases and error.
Real AI, not LLMs.
Yeah that’s what I was getting at, like a runaway GAI
As long as AI is owned by billionaires, I’d rule out the first option.
I’ll take my chances with the Ghost in the Shell.
And so it begins…
… and the clocks were striking thirteen.
And so it begins…
… the years of daily headlines starting with “Shrimp …”
(or what’s his name again?)
