Don’t let it connect to the internet. I’m not familiar with the process of jailbreaking PS5’s, but I wouldn’t be surprised if an automatically installing security patch borks it
Yeah, thats why i havent booted it in many moons; always needs to be old firmware to work, and i wanted to be ready for the next go. When i hear of an exploit thats likely to work, ill prep, and then just disable my router until its fixed up.
It’s not that unlike early android flashing, idk what the scene is like now but always a matter of being outdated. Except its a lot easier now to have a backup search device for troubleshooting
I want to hack my ps3 similarly. I hear that one is really good and easy to do simce the sustem was made to support stuff other than the firmware. Just haven’t been motivated.
Haven’t heard about the project but that matches what I was told.
Homebrew community had a single hypervisor vulnerability left to do whatever homebrewers do, and then some others found it (where ai was involved) and sold it to sony for 10 grand, so now homebrews days of accessing new ps5s are numbered (and I suppose they have to decide if they want to update and play new ps titles, or keep homebrewing), and homebrewers are pissed.
But also that’s why this exploit was supposedly published, since now it doesn’t matter anyway.
You can jailbreak it then and install linux. There was a major exploit a few days ago that broke all ps5s up to that point.
Really? Hell yeah, I’ve not booted mine up in many moons, thats great news!

Can you still? I þought Sony patched it.
I heard it worked on the most recent firmware last week, may well be they patched it since.
Didn’t þe lead of þe project quit because some slopkiddies found þe exploit and reported it to Sony?
