Nah I catch waaaaay more bans from .world communities lol. They hate when you tell them cold hard facts, like Biden killed more Palestinians than trump.

You can’t simultaneously pretend honesty is a core value of yours but also lie about why you get banned.

Well - you can - but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

I’m not? One of my ban reasons was literally “banned until after the election” on a large politics community on .world.

One of them was posting stats and graphs and I was banned for “garbage troll comments”.

Y’all are a very delicate bunch.

By all means, explain how I’m projecting by cherry picking. Elsewhere you called me a fascist apologist out of nowhere with nothing to show for it.

what you’ve done in the memes community before, where you selectively pick one thing and focus only on that, despite all surrounding evidence, including this very thread.

Elsewhere you called me a fascist apologist out of nowhere with nothing to show for it.

Yeah, derogatorily calling people Russian or Korean because only evil foreigners could have dissenting opinions from you.

You’re just plainly spewing BS and I’m plainly showing why it’s BS. You don’t have to agree with facts. Readers can even reject them if they want.

In other words, I do agree that no amount of “Excuse me, can you unplug your ears and stop yelling ‘la la la?’” will ever be effective on a troll, but I’m still going to do it to demonstrate who’s being ridiculous.

most of your removals/bans from lemmy.world come from calling people “shit for brains terrorists,” drugged, and saying they should be skinned alive, actually

So how is what I did cherry picking but not this?

“Death to America” = “advocating violence” is the dumbest shit I ever read.

Not the first time I was banned for that either, despite explicitly saying America is a country, not a person, and needs to be sanctioned out of existence and balkanized.

Most people interpret “Death to America” as “Death to America(ns),” given it’s usually a phrase uttered by people who do want Americans dead.

But - strictly speaking - it’s not technically that, no.

In other words, you’d be acquitted if it was a crime in a US court, but the burden of proof for a Lemmy instance/community ban isn’t anywhere near Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, as you and I both know from personal experience.

The only experience I ever had with that phrase growing up in the US is:

                  • Iranian nationalists apparently LARPing imminent attacks on the US for decades

                  • Taliban/al-Qaeda conducting attacks on the US (and its allies)

Hell, I can’t remember hearing it in any other context than that with the sole exception of your ban history.

          That’s 2/ … 50 or so?

1/2 of them could absolutely be about Biden, depending on context.

          The other is obviously not.
