I have previously come across a white appearing woman with a white appearing husband and a mixed race black appearing baby. The woman used this to argue that the reason their baby is half black is because she had a black great grandparent. The husband accepted this logic.
I mean, I’d probably ask for a paternity test in this circumstance, but it absolutely can happen.
